It’s refreshing when a bright, new cinematic voice emerges who isn’t either a recent film school graduate or a wunderkind ‘accidentally’ producing a masterpiece, but rather a hard working industry guy who consciously chose his moment to strike. Dan Gilroy, the lesser known brother of fervent editor John Gilroy and writer-director Tony Gilroy (The Bourne Series, Michael Clayton), has long made a living as a screenwriter and uncredited re-writer earning credits for varied works such as Freejack, Chasers, Two for the Money, The Fall, and Real Steel.
