The 2014 winter meetings has been filled with blockbuster deals. With the White Sox, Red Sox, Dodgers and Angels bolstering their rosters, fans are highly anticipating the 2015 season.

However there is one signing that really had me confused. That was the Jon Lester signing with the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs acquired the veteran southpaw in a six year, 150 million dollar deal. But this has nothing to do with money. In fact, Lester is extremely deserving of that money.

If you’re a baseball fan, you know that last year the struggling Seattle Mariners signed second baseman Robinson Cano for an enormous deal. In this ten year contract, Cano is recieving 280 million dollars. Now after this deal Lester’s reaction was displayed on MLB network.
